Wild At Heart returning to ITV

Stephen Tompkinson, Dawn Steele and Hayley Mills are returning for a fifth series of Wild At Heart. The ITV drama set in South Africa, where it is filmed on location, was launched in January 2006 and has been recomissioned for a further 10 episodes due to its popularity with viewers. The new series sees love blossom between safari park owner Danny Trevanion - played by Stephen - and fellow vet Alice Collins, played by Dawn.

Anders Du Plessis (Deon Stewardson), is finally set to marry his beloved Caroline (Hayley Mills) but someone from Caroline's past may be set to threaten their happiness. Alice's estranged brother Rowan - played by Holby Blue's Cal Macaninch - has moved into neighbouring reserve Mara, increasing the rivalry. Alice is desperate to repair the relationship with her brother but doesn't know how far she can trust him. Stephen Tompkinson is also a co-executive producer of Wild At Heart, which begins filming in South Africa from July.
